Preventative Maintenance: Why It’s Worth It

I mentioned in a previous blog, how changing your A/C Units filter at home regularly can help with energy costs as well as extend the life of your system. If you missed that blog, check it out here.

Preventative maintenance can go a step further. These visits are performed by an Air Conditioning specialist and can be scheduled as many as four times a year (to view our maintenance package information, click website or call the office for more details). When I talk about maintenance for this blog, imagine it as being done twice a year, which is the minimum we recommend. Preventative maintenance can help you “save money, breathe cleaner air, enjoy increased safety and comfort in your home, and help the environment,” according to the International Air Quality Association at iaqa.org.

What happens during a maintenance visit?

Our licensed Air Conditioning Professionals check and clean the condenser coils, evaporator coils, the fins of the coils and blower. They will also check the refrigerant levels &/or signs of refrigerant leakage, the electric connections to maintain them and the general system efficiency. Having us out 2-4 times a year keeps you on top of issues that could occur. We will make recommendations if we find any issues, that, when caught early enough, can save you thousands of dollars on costly repairs or replacements.

What else can I do to protect my system?

So you have changed the filter monthly and hired Frosty Flamingo HVAC Services to perform preventative maintenance on your system two times a year. What is next?

Nothing. Just sit back and let us keep your system performing at its best as we help you breathe healthy air while saving you money.
